George Landegger - Giving to the Homeless

As George Landegger knows, putting forth the commitment to help others is a very noble act. There are various charities and organizations that work hard every day to help the lesser fortunate. The constant presence of hardship is almost inescapable for homeless populations. There are even more complications when a family becomes in financial trouble. In most cases where there are families that become homeless it is because they are without any possible assistance from other family members. Shelters are often the first course of action for those who need it immediately. Unfortunately, there are situations where shelters no longer have enough beds. In a city like New York, homeless people find themselves in such situations because the sheer numbers of their demographic is often not equalized by that of empty beds.

There are tens of thousands of homeless men, women and children who utilize shelter programs. Some of these people say that at the time of the recession they were living in an affordable apartment or home, but an inflating real estate market and the loss of working hours led many of them into debt. Many of these people were hardworking individuals who were simply subject to unfortunate circumstances, and are now on the streets with even less hope of recovery. George Landegger reaches out to these populations and tries to help as many as he can.
